Rules of the Road: Giveaways & Contests
Though contest requirement may vary slightly, here are the general rules:
- Typically, one prize equals one winner. However, there will be times when BehindTheKnife.com has more than one item to give away.
- To determine the winner, we’ll check the total number of people who fulfilled the requirements for the contest (typically leaving a comment or signing up for our newsletter). We’ll then draw a random number using the website random.org and award the prize to the person whose number corresponds with the random number.
- You must live in the United States in order to enter and win the contest.
- Please, only one entry per person (except in special cases where you can get a “bonus entry”).
- Generally, each contest lasts for one week, starting from the time it’s announced (usually on a Monday), and ending at 11:59pm EST (usually the following Sunday).
- We’ll email the winner and request a mailing address. If the winner doesn’t respond within a week of contact, we’ll draw a second number.
